Art Trade - A Sunset on Fire

Description

This is my part of an art trade with the wonderful :iconsky-shifter:
Their absolutely beautiful part: fav.me/daamzbm (Go check it out!!)

I told you guys you would be seeing the results of my sunset obsession soon... xD And this is just the first...

This picture was a feat but the challenge was refreshing :D
I had to sketch the character out a few times before I found a unique and beautiful pose, and fitting the wings in there as well wasn't easy! The colors for this character also gave me a bit of trouble because of how vibrant they are and mixing bright with an overlay layer does not mix. xD I re-did the clouds in the far background about 3 times and the cloud in the foreground and in the sky far above about 2 times each but I finally figured them out! I think... :XD:
In the end, this drawing taught me a LOT and I am very happy with the end result~ c: Plus this took me so long I was just done with it... |D

Sky-Shifter I hope you like it! Your part is just so beautiful and I love it and I hope you like this piece as well! Thank you so much for doing an art trade with me  SkyShifter was so much fun to draw~ I just loved that flowing tail and although the colors were hard, who doesn't like rainbows?? c:
If you would like a version without the link in the corner, just let me know! I can also give you a version without a BG if you would like the character alone as well!
